Moved

Our paddock was pretty much eaten down so we finally moved the boys over to my inlaws field. Lots of yummy green grass and of course all new scarey monsters to look out for.


Kodak is looking at me I am on the deck of my sister in laws pool the kids are screaming with fun and he had a hard time eating because he was watchng the girls swim. he can miss a few meals look at that belly!!

I think I see something scarey in the field across from us???????

Rodeo a GOGO

We went to the rodeo and I thought about the fall off of this guy!! Yoza he was huge his feet were like pie plates.


Sky loved him and Pete liked him too but Miss Ellie she kept her distance.

Ellie loved the barrel racers and the broncs she really liked the corn dogs too.

I can;t imagine how they hold the flag and steer it bewilders me. We had such a good time.

First ride since he is back home

Today was nice and breezy so we decied to go for a ride. Ellie and Sky posed with the ponies.


Lakota gave Sky a nice kiss as I was brushing him.



Kodak looks bored with us as always......




He is not to sure of the new bit but he was very very good. Sky rode Kodak and I rode Lakota (I really only followed Sky and Kodak sinceLakota is not too good at stearing yet.) He is such a good boy I am so happy we didn
t give up on him. Is he perfect heck no! He is a work in progress.

Happy friends

So first night was great and I turned them out this morning ....just like old times Kodak is the boss and Lakota is like "Ok pony you can be the boss just don't bite me." Heading out to get a new bag of treats for the boys today. Ahhhhh its good to have him home.

He is home!

So he is finally back and look he looks happy to be home some scratches here and there but


he is back home with MUCH better manners and much better under saddle and Kodak looks like he missed him eh? No he is actually ignoring him like he always did.



Here is Sky walking him over to see Kodak.

Sky getting him off the trailer this NEVER would have happened before he would have pulled her across the driveay and ran up the hill dragging her. he lost alof of weight but we will fatten him right up in no time.

This is Sky's trainer saying "Now Sky he will try to get away with being an a## but stay firm and you are the boss not him. Now go get your horse off the trailer and walk him to his stall."
So happy to have him back. It was a long time but sometimes things do not happen overnight.

Lakota comes home today!!!!!!!!

Well I haven't blogged all week. It rained and rained and rained!! The girls were at horse camp and I am working on getting things clean around this place. Putting in your own oak floors sure makes things messy. So Lakota is finally ready to come home after being sent to horse bootcamp since the last week in May. Yesterday the final test WATER. He is so afraid of water it was a huge deal with him. We live in NEPA and heck it rains here and when it rains you get mudpuddles and when you have a horse that will not go through a puddle it sure stinks. He also really needed a bath and there is that water thing again. He was much better than he was 2 weeks ago. He doesn't like much done withhis back legs but that is something we will work on. he is scrubbed clean feet done mane pulled ready to come HOMMMMEEEEE. I will post pics of him as soon as he arrives in the late afternoon.
I am pretty stoked.
