Moved

Our paddock was pretty much eaten down so we finally moved the boys over to my inlaws field. Lots of yummy green grass and of course all new scarey monsters to look out for.


Kodak is looking at me I am on the deck of my sister in laws pool the kids are screaming with fun and he had a hard time eating because he was watchng the girls swim. he can miss a few meals look at that belly!!

I think I see something scarey in the field across from us???????

Rodeo a GOGO

We went to the rodeo and I thought about the fall off of this guy!! Yoza he was huge his feet were like pie plates.


Sky loved him and Pete liked him too but Miss Ellie she kept her distance.

Ellie loved the barrel racers and the broncs she really liked the corn dogs too.

I can;t imagine how they hold the flag and steer it bewilders me. We had such a good time.

First ride since he is back home

Today was nice and breezy so we decied to go for a ride. Ellie and Sky posed with the ponies.


Lakota gave Sky a nice kiss as I was brushing him.



Kodak looks bored with us as always......




He is not to sure of the new bit but he was very very good. Sky rode Kodak and I rode Lakota (I really only followed Sky and Kodak sinceLakota is not too good at stearing yet.) He is such a good boy I am so happy we didn
t give up on him. Is he perfect heck no! He is a work in progress.

Happy friends

So first night was great and I turned them out this morning ....just like old times Kodak is the boss and Lakota is like "Ok pony you can be the boss just don't bite me." Heading out to get a new bag of treats for the boys today. Ahhhhh its good to have him home.

He is home!

So he is finally back and look he looks happy to be home some scratches here and there but


he is back home with MUCH better manners and much better under saddle and Kodak looks like he missed him eh? No he is actually ignoring him like he always did.



Here is Sky walking him over to see Kodak.

Sky getting him off the trailer this NEVER would have happened before he would have pulled her across the driveay and ran up the hill dragging her. he lost alof of weight but we will fatten him right up in no time.

This is Sky's trainer saying "Now Sky he will try to get away with being an a## but stay firm and you are the boss not him. Now go get your horse off the trailer and walk him to his stall."
So happy to have him back. It was a long time but sometimes things do not happen overnight.

Lakota comes home today!!!!!!!!

Well I haven't blogged all week. It rained and rained and rained!! The girls were at horse camp and I am working on getting things clean around this place. Putting in your own oak floors sure makes things messy. So Lakota is finally ready to come home after being sent to horse bootcamp since the last week in May. Yesterday the final test WATER. He is so afraid of water it was a huge deal with him. We live in NEPA and heck it rains here and when it rains you get mudpuddles and when you have a horse that will not go through a puddle it sure stinks. He also really needed a bath and there is that water thing again. He was much better than he was 2 weeks ago. He doesn't like much done withhis back legs but that is something we will work on. he is scrubbed clean feet done mane pulled ready to come HOMMMMEEEEE. I will post pics of him as soon as he arrives in the late afternoon.
I am pretty stoked.

They had a great time.

They had their new suits on and look so cute. I will not swim unless the sun is beaming. Today it wasn't but it sure was muggy. Kodak was in the shade looking bored. Hopefully tomorrow I can get a ride in.

Today has been a lazy day. Sky has a mounted meeting for 4-H tonight so no horse stuff here today.



We went to A Ash's today to swim. Kids swam I played with the camera.



She has all of these stars hanging from her porch they are so pretty.

Yesterday Kodak got a bath he was in a mood, lazy and didn't want to be bothered. Sky rode him for about 25 min then we gave him a tub. Some day soon maybe this beast will get a bath she sure stinks.

Update on Lakota

Well haven't posted much becasue of RAIN!!!! It has rained almost every day of summer vacation so far. Yesterday it wasn't raining but our paddock is so muddy couldn't even get on to ride Mr. Kodak. I am sure he is pretty happy just munchin the green grass. Sky and I have been doing some groundwork (trainer watching) with Lakota. We miss him so much but WOW what a different horse he is. He still has a stud chain on but he respects the chain finally and doen't just push us over and go do what he wants to do. He is much better and if we can get a few more rides on him he can finally come home!!

Vet visit was great I am so proud of my pony

This is the face of a very well behaved pony!!! He was sooo good. He snorted a few times as to be expected but he stood still and got all his shots and his blood drawn for his Coggins and he was awesome. Now if the rain would stop we can actually ride. He got alot of carrots and lovin after the visit. yeah for Kodak!

Vet comes today

Vet come today. I didn't have Kodak vetted last year the farm did before he came home to me. I hear he is very scared of the vet so wish us both luck. It must be the week for Dr. appts......

Its alll good untillll...

Well thats over with and I am all clear. YEAH for me. So I get hom to find that Lillain my boxer has ingested a loaf of bread and then continued to throw it up all over the house.


She is a big booger so Pete runs out and gets electric fence.



He reads the book and freaks out because he hates to read instructions.




I remember when she was this big and just slept. Oh can we just go back in time.

Its that time of the year again

Well its that time to go to the cancer center tomorrow. Ughhhh I HATE going. It smells like chemo in there and I get so scared when they do my bloodwork. I have been a mess all day. Oh well I did find these cute wellies and maybe I will treat myself when my results come back . Maybe if a certain sister named nancy is reading this she may just go to her tack shop and get them for me hint hint hint

Sky rode Lakota again this weekend. She has to kick like mad because he is afraid of puddles.

Ellie Fu won the Reserve Champ at the show on Sunday she was pretty excited and all she wanted was an egg sandwich for all that hard work.

Took Ellie swimming at Col's pool. Lots of fun. She swam with Oscar because Sky was still in school.

first day of summer vacation

The best day of the year better than Christmas!!! JK. So today I fooled around with the ol camera. I caught a boy who should have been up in his paddock down in his stall. So I decided to get some shot of him. I love him so much and he is so awesome. Still spookey but with time with time. I noticed since Lakota has been at Mikes for training Kodak doesn;t love to be up in the paddock unless we are up there to so we opened the gate and let him come and go as he pleases. I wanted to get a ride in today but it pored so hard last night the paddock is a mess ....hmmmm maybe thats why he isn't up there in the mud and puddles?? I took some more shots of some places around the farm.
